What is the highest point of Lithuania?
We had left Riga around lunch time and set off towards the highest point of Lithuania.

Similarly to the mix-up of Denmark's highest point, there has been an ever so slight change to the location of Lithuania's in recent years. Up until 2006 Juozapine Kalnas was the official high point. Then after a GPS survey of the area it was found that another hill 300m away was over a meter higher!

Aukštojas Hill became Lithuania’s new highest point with the official measurement of 293.84 meters. Superseding the old highest by 1.14 meters.

This small hill in Lithuania marked the completion of the #Baltic and #EU high points for me. Additionally, it was also the end of my road-trip. From this point onward, I would be alone to finish the callenge, My friends Iain and Tom would make their way back to the UK. Meanwhile, I planned take ongoing flights into Belarus and Russia.
