After completing Finland's highpoint Halti, it was time to travel to the #Baltic states to get the final few ticked off before Russia. However, there would be no mountains here. Estonia's Suur Munamägi is the highest out of the lot at just 318m.

8th September So from Kiruna in Sweden, I flew down to Helsinki to meet up with my friends Tom and Iain again. They had driven there earlier in the week from Stockholm while I went to do Kebnekaise. I wanted to stay in Helsinki a night before we got a ferry across to Tallinn.

I had suddenly found myself a lot more relaxed. I'd been getting stressed in the weeks earlier as there was so much that needed to come together for me to be able to hit my goals. Now the majority of that was behind me, I was wanting to do touristy things again. We had five days to do three easy high points before I needed to be in Belarus. Theoretically, all three can be done in a day if they need to be.

9th September For the enjoyment and sanity of all of us, we decided to pace ourselves as much as we could on this last bit. We spent a day exploring the beautiful capital of Tallinn, then having another stopover in Estonia's second-largest city, Tartu. Our plan for the following day was to get the two high points of Estonia and Latvia done, and then we would drive to Riga to spend another night there.

The observation tower marks the highest point. Of course, it wasn't strictly necessary, but I felt obliged to go to the top of it. There was a small entrance fee that was a little more if you wanted to use the elevator rather then the stairs.

Nine flights of stairs later and I was there. At the top, and the highest person in Estonia!

Now onto the next high point for the day.
