Having managed to string a load of cheap flights together I had worked out a schedule that I was able to attempt to get 6 high points done in just 6 days for my next stint. I was actually really keen to try find the 7th one because I thought it would be cool to say that I did one every day of the week. But it wasn't meant to be.

The highest point of Malta

So, I would start by flying back out from the UK to Malta after a quick family visit at home. From the airport, I went to the old capital of Mdina to meet my two friends that had already made their way to the historical island after leaving our beloved car in over in Bulgaria for us to fly back to. Then after a quick tour, we headed straight to the Dingli Cliffs along the South Coast and towards the high point by an electric car we hired.

We knew roughly where we were our target was but strangely the high point of Malta is not actually marked by anything and there has been no detailed survey of the area to confirm the exact location. The coast and the cliffs stay at roughly the same for a few kilometers.

To make try to make sure that I stood on the high point we walked down the stretch of the coast and along some of the higher parts we debated and joked on what rock was higher. Use your own discretion but I thought that it was at this point...

There were a few landmarks along the way if you decided to do the walk.

Golf ball listening post.

Magdalena Chapel.

Unfortunately, I didn't get as much time as I would have liked here as just 22 hours after I landed on Maltese soil I was flying back out again to my next target.

If you decided on a different place for the high point, then please let me know in the comments! :)
